Terms of use
The terms that apply when you use Reelpass: a checking and compression tool for music exam videos, not an exam board, with no promise a board accepts a file.
What this is
Reelpass reads a video file in your browser, compares what it finds with the published guidance of the exam board you choose, and can re-encode the picture to make the file smaller. It is not an exam board, it does not submit anything, and it cannot see whether a recording follows the rules a machine cannot check. The board's own page is the authority; check it before you upload. Reelpass checks your file against the published guidance on the date shown and cannot promise a board will accept it.
The board profiles
Each board profile paraphrases the board's own page and shows the page title and the date it was read. Where a board is silent, the profile says the value is a Reelpass setting. Boards change their guidance; you can override any number, and you should read the board's page before you upload. Reelpass is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any exam board, including ABRSM, Trinity College London or London College of Music Examinations.
Your files
Reelpass never changes your original file. Compression writes a new file. Keep the original until the result is released, and watch the whole compressed file before you upload it.
What is free
The preflight for one file at a time, the board checklist, the file name fixer, the introduction rehearsal clock, one saved candidate and the guides are free with no account and stay that way. In this build everything else is free too. Nothing on the free list will be moved behind a payment.
Refunds
Not happy with a purchase? Email socialreminderinfo@gmail.com within 14 days of a first purchase, or within 7 days of a renewal, and we will refund it. Send the message from the email address you used at checkout, and include:
- the email address used at checkout (if you are writing from a different address)
- your access code, shown on the Premium page while you are subscribed on the browser you purchased from
- roughly when you purchased, and which plan (yearly or lifetime)
- the last 4 digits of the card, if you have the receipt handy
That is everything needed to find the purchase and process the refund. This policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have.
Acceptable use
Use the site to prepare your own or your students' exam recordings. Do not use it to alter a performance: Reelpass has no trimming or joining tools, and a recording must reach the board as it was performed.
Warranty and liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Reelpass is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site, from a board declining a file, or from reliance on anything on it.
Contact
Questions, a rule that reads wrongly, or a board page that has changed all go to the support address in the footer. A profile that contradicts the board's current page is a defect and gets fixed.
